The 2018 Local Flavors Harvest Benefit was a wonderful success thanks to the DCCG Board, Staff, supporters and sponsors. Tapa La Luna and its professional and personable staff created wonderful ambiance for showcasing the work of DCCG. A special thank you to our musical entertainers Craig Matthey and Bob Palmer (also our talented photographer) and our Master of Ceremonies Phil Masterton, for creating a fun filled atmosphere. Tapa La Luna’s Chef Chad Warborg again delighted attendees with a unique menu filled with local delicacies. The meal began with an avocado and vegetable tartine. Following this was a delicate melon gazpacho and pickled beet salad with garlic scape pesto drizzle. For the main course a packed vegetable risotto with optional roasted pork, turkey or ham on the side. For dessert a decadent spiced zucchini cake with a crème fraiche finish finished off the meal. The community came together to help celebrate the end of the harvest season and the programs of DCCG that seek to help those in the community and help end food insecurity. Keep the Harvest Dinner in mind next year toward the end of September and join us again for this wonderful event!
