What a wonderful we had at our Annual Local Flavors Harvest Dinner on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Tapa La Luna (226 E. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb)! This event raised just over $11,000…the generosity of our guests was overwhelming! Thank you to all who came to the table with us!
Tapa La Luna’s Chef Chad delighted our senses with a bounty of fall produce—a starter salad with roasted butternut squash, roasted red peppers and lettuce topped with toasted pecans, shaved parmesan, charred green onions, garlic scape pesto, and balsamic beet drizzle to the main course of potato gratin mixed with a sweet corn cream, shallots and stewed greens. A side of roast beef was also available. Last but not least, for dessert the Chef created a bread pudding with vanilla, apple, sweet cream custard and fall raspberries.
Much gratitude to Tapa La Luna for being our venue host for the fourth year! A special thank you to Chef Chad and the Staff of Tapa La Luna for their hard work and time to help make this benefit possible.
Our generous corporate sponsors this year, please know we greatly appreciate your generosity!
Thank you to Le Print Express & Glidden Florist for their in-kind donations that made our event a success!
